How To Request Warranty Service
To obtain warranty service, please contact your nearest Vanway Kitchen + Bath location. Describe the problem you see and if possible, include photos of the issue. Vanway Kitchen + Bath will arrange a complimentary inspection of the product to ensure the issue is within the scope of our warranty. For example, normal wear and tear is not a manufacturing defect. It would not be covered by warranty as all quartz countertops can expect to have changes in colour or gloss over time.
Common Warranty Questions
Vanway Kitchen + Bath offers an exceptional warranty that meets and exceeds industry standards. Still, we occasionally receive questions from clients that indicate there is some confusion about is covered.
- A warranty doesn’t cover natural variation. Quartz is an engineered stone that contains variations in colour, patterns, veining, and gloss. No two slabs are exactly alike – so different sections of your countertop may not be identical in appearance. This is part of the beauty of quartz and is why clients choose stone countertops rather than laminate countertops.
- A warranty doesn’t cover natural aging. Stone and resins undergo a natural aging process. The colours change somewhat as the years go on; the colour can also be impacted by direct sunlight. The finish and gloss of your quartz countertop may also subtly change with normal wear and tear.
- A warranty doesn’t cover heat damage. Quartz is an engineered stone that can be damaged by direct heat transfer. If hot cooking pots, electric griddles, slow cookers, and roaster ovens are placed on the countertop without hot pads or solid trivets, damage will occur. To protect your countertops and keep them looking new as long as possible, please follow our care instructions.
- A warranty doesn’t cover damage caused by you. It is possible to damage your countertops with your actions. Scrubbing quartz with abrasive scouring pads will dull the finish. Using knives on your quartz without a cutting board will scratch the stone. Spilling highly pigmented substances such as wine, berries, or tomato sauce may stain the quartz. Damage like this is not due to our manufacturing process and is not covered by this warranty.
